The elegant antique filled main home and dependency buildings contain 15 spacious bedrooms each with a private bath. Discover luxury and comfort in the elegant and romantic suites with forty-foot living rooms with a fireplace, kitchen, bar area, and screened porch offering guests with spectacular vistas of the gardens below. Suites are available with one or two bedrooms, each with king-size bed and private bath.
Guests enjoy a seated Plantation breakfast each morning in the Dining Pavilion building which overlooks the river.
The main house is surrounded by rolling wooded terrain with breathtaking views of the Mississippi River. The view from the observation point extends miles up and down the river. Guests at The Briars can relax in the peaceful ambience of the parlor, drawing room or veranda.
Guests can also explore the grounds brick walks, boardwalks, gazebos and ponds with frequent views of the river and gardens. There are 19 acres of carefully designed and cultivated gardens featuring ancient pecan trees, live oaks, magnolias, thousands of daffodils, over 1200 azaleas, roses, camellias, flowering trees, hydrangeas, day lilies, and many more including annuals and tropical plants during the summer.
